Delay by one month, International Atomic Energy Agency observation mission to Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant completes routine personnel rotation

On March 2nd, according to the announcement released by the news department of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, on March 1st local time, the International Atomic Energy Agency’s observation team stationed in Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant completed its routine personnel rotation, and the 27th group of permanent personnel composed of three experts entered the nuclear power plant completely through Russian territory for the first time. The announcement stated that the rotation was originally scheduled to be completed a month ago, but was postponed twice due to “provocations” by the Ukrainian armed forces. To ensure a smooth rotation of observers, the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation held intensive consultations throughout February, with the Russian Ministry of Defense and National Guard providing security guarantees for the rotation.
