On March 2nd, a US civil rights lawyer sued the Trump administration on March 1st local time to prevent the transfer of 10 immigrants detained in the US to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Previously, CNN reported on February 19th that the US government has transferred over 140 immigrants to the US military base located in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. In January 2002, the US military established a prison at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba, which was heavily condemned for multiple scandals of prisoner abuse.
