On April 28th local time, the White House issued a statement stating that US President Biden had a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to discuss the prospects of a ceasefire agreement between the two sides.
Biden emphasized the need to maintain and strengthen the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip under full coordination with humanitarian organizations, including preparations to open new northern border crossings in the Gaza Strip starting next week.
Both sides also discussed issues related to the southern city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip.
