CFTC: As of the week ending February 11th, speculators’ net long position in WTI crude oil decreased by 18303 contracts

On February 15th, according to the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), as of the week ending February 11th, speculators’ net long position in WTI crude oil decreased by 18303 contracts to 122237 contracts. The net long position in Brent and WTI crude oil decreased to 374842 contracts, hitting a six week low. The net long position in NYMEX gasoline increased to 48683 contracts, setting a new three week high. The net long position in NYMEX heating oil increased to 13865 contracts, reaching a new high in approximately 11 months. The net long position in NYMEX natural gas held has increased to 358827 contracts, reaching a new high in approximately three years.
