On February 9th, the Governor of Leningrad Oblast in Russia, Drozdenko, announced on social media that a technical accident had occurred on a ship anchored at the Ust Luga Port in the region. However, the ship has been moored at the dock and there were no injuries or risks of oil product leakage. We have started investigating and determining the cause of the accident. According to media reports, the ship was carrying 130000 tons of fuel oil, and there were three explosions in the engine room. The hull has sunk and run aground. There are a total of 24 crew members from Russia, Georgia, and Indonesia. The emergency department has set up oil barriers and no oil leakage has been found so far.
