On February 6th, a senior official from the US Department of Justice stated in a memo that FBI agents who “only followed orders and performed their duties in an ethical manner” during the investigation of the “Capitol Hill riot” case would not face the risk of being fired. This memorandum does not provide any assurance for any agents found to have “corrupt or partisan intentions”.
