On August 5th, Baosteel Group issued a notice on matters related to the waste dump and tailings pond resources in the Baiyun Obo mining area, stating that recently, some enterprises and individuals have proposed to develop the surrounding rock of the waste dump in the Baiyun Obo mining area and hyped up false information in the market, which has had a negative impact on Baosteel Group.
According to the announcement, Baosteel Group strictly implements the national policy of protecting and developing important strategic resources in accordance with the relevant requirements of rare earth mining control. All the surrounding rocks of the waste dumping sites and tailings pond tailings in the Baiyun Ebo mining area will not be sold to the outside world.
