On February 1st, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt announced on January 31st local time that the Senate has confirmed 8 cabinet candidates nominated by US President Trump, including Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin, and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum. Bogum is scheduled to be sworn in later that day. The White House expects the Senate to quickly confirm the remaining qualified nominees and vote on them in the coming days.
