On January 29th, Israeli Defense Minister Katz visited a military camp on the top of Mount Hermon in the Israeli controlled Golan Heights on January 28th local time. Katz told Israeli military officers and soldiers that the Israeli army will maintain its troops “indefinitely” at the top of Mount Hermon and in the Syrian Israeli military buffer zone to ensure the safety of residents in the Golan Heights and northern Israel.
