On January 28th, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced on January 27th local time that an additional 400 Texas National Guard members will be dispatched to the US Mexico border to “cooperate with US Border Patrol personnel”. The members of the ‘Tactical Border Force’ will immediately depart from the base, accompanied by C-130 transport planes and ‘Chinook’ helicopters.
