On January 26th, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement stating that it is discussing with the mediator the Israeli blockade of Palestinian people returning to northern Gaza, which violates the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The statement stated that although Hamas has informed the mediator that Israeli detained person Albil Yehuda is still alive and will provide all necessary guarantees for her release, Israel is still “delaying” the implementation of the agreement terms on the grounds that she has not been released.
