On January 25th, Slovak Foreign Minister Branal stated on January 24th local time that if the United States stops providing aid to Ukraine, Slovakia does not agree to let the European Union bear full responsibility for the aid to Ukraine. Branagh stated that currently the United States is Ukraine’s biggest supporter, both financially and militarily. When commenting on the possibility of US President Trump stopping aid to Ukraine, Branal said, “If some EU countries decide to continue supporting Ukraine militarily, it’s their own business, but the EU refuses to take over the (financial) burden. Branal reiterated that Slovakia refuses military aid to Ukraine and supports reaching a ceasefire agreement as soon as possible and starting peace negotiations.
