On January 18th, South Korean President Yoon Seok yeol arrived at the Seoul Western District Court to attend the necessary review of the detention order. A large number of supporters of Yoon Seok yeol gathered in front of the Western District Court in Seoul. On the 17th, the South Korean Senior Public Officials Criminal Investigation Agency (DPCA) applied to the Seoul Western District Court for a detention order for Yoon Seok yeol on suspicion of being the “leader of the internal turmoil” and abusing power, seeking to continue the investigation while Yoon Seok yeol is further detained. According to the law, the Seoul Western District Court will review the detention order application within 24 hours and then make a decision on whether to approve the detention. Once approved by the court, including the time of arrest, Yin Xiyue can be detained for up to 20 days.
