On January 16th, informed sources revealed that Apple is in talks with Barclays Bank to replace Goldman Sachs as Apple’s credit card partner. According to informed sources, credit card issuer Synchrony Financial is also in discussions with Apple regarding a credit card partnership. According to insiders, several financial companies are competing to replace Goldman Sachs, which partnered with Apple to launch credit cards in 2019.
