16 employees kidnapped by armed militants at an atomic energy plant in Pakistan have been rescued

On January 10th, Pakistani military sources reported that on January 9th, employees of the Qabur Khel Atomic Energy Plant, belonging to the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, were kidnapped by unknown armed militants in Lakimarwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, and their bus was also burned down. The headquarters reporter learned that all 16 kidnapped employees have been rescued so far. It is reported that the kidnapped individuals are commuters who frequently travel between Lakimarwat and the atomic energy factory workplace. At present, relevant departments are investigating this incident. The Kabul Kael Atomic Energy Plant mines and processes precious minerals such as uranium locally.
