According to reports, although Germany has repeatedly refused Israel’s requests for weapons since the outbreak of the current Israeli Palestinian conflict, due to Germany’s responsibility for the production of parts for Israel’s “Merkava” main battle tank and other weapons and equipment, Germany still provided tank and other tank spare parts totaling over 48 million euros, as well as various types of ammunition totaling about 37 million euros. According to reports, although several German officials previously denied providing Israel with “weapons for military operations in the Gaza Strip,” in early October, German Chancellor Scholz admitted to providing weapons to Israel and stated that he would continue to maintain the supply.
