According to the relevant person in charge of the airport, in the past year of operation, Siem Reap Angkor International Airport has guaranteed a total of 14700 flights and a passenger throughput of 1.32 million. The airport has opened flights to 15 cities in 8 countries, connecting multiple countries and regions in South Asia and Southeast Asia, promoting economic and cultural exchanges between Cambodia and other countries.

The Chairman of Angkor International Airport Tourism Transport Association, Jin Pali, told Xinhua News Agency that in the past year, the association has served millions of passengers and the income of practitioners has increased. He said that this airport has helped improve the lives of locals and hopes to attract more tourists to visit Siem Reap.

At the celebration ceremony, the airport released incentive plans and specific measures for the opening of new scheduled routes and the entry of new airlines, hoping to further encourage, attract and promote more airlines to open routes and expand their business, and further promote the recovery of Cambodia’s tourism market and the development of the aviation market.
