On the early morning of the 5th local time, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement stating that the organization does not need new proposals for the ceasefire and personnel exchange agreement in the Gaza Strip. What it needs now is to put pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and his government to comply with the agreements already reached. The statement also stated that Netanyahu’s decision not to withdraw troops from the “Philadelphia Corridor” is aimed at preventing the achievement of a ceasefire agreement.
