The US Central Command claims to assist the Syrian Democratic Forces in capturing the leader of an extremist organization

On March 9th, local time, the US Central Command issued a statement stating that with the support of the US military, the Syrian Democratic Forces launched a surprise attack on March 6th and captured the leader of an extremist group in Syria – Salah Muhammad Abdullah. The statement stated that during the operation, the Syrian Democratic Forces seized various weapons. The US Central Command provided technical support and intelligence assistance during the operation to assist the Syrian Democratic Forces in completing their mission.
