Hamas delegation concludes talks with Egypt, focusing on issues such as Gaza ceasefire

On the early morning of April 27th local time, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement stating that its delegation had left the Egyptian capital Cairo after ending talks with Egypt. The statement stated that the delegation held intensive talks and consultations with the Egyptian side during their stay in Egypt, with a focus on discussing issues related to promoting a ceasefire in Gaza and ending Israel’s war against Gaza. Hamas once again expressed its position on achieving a comprehensive ceasefire in Gaza, including implementing a ceasefire, exchanging personnel with Israel, allowing aid to enter Gaza, and restoring Gaza’s reconstruction. Hamas and Egypt have agreed to further communicate on relevant issues and promote the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire. Both sides also discussed the humanitarian crisis in Gaza due to Israel’s strict blockade and obstruction of supplies entering Gaza.
