On April 21st, under the deep transformation of the automotive industry, Guangdong’s position as the top producer of automobiles in China for nearly 10 years may change this year. According to the database of the National Bureau of Statistics, in the first quarter of this year, Anhui ranked first in the country in terms of automobile production with 761700 vehicles, surpassing Guangdong (665100 vehicles) in second place by nearly 100000 vehicles, expanding its leading advantage compared to the data from January to February. Under the new statistical rules and with the further expansion of the industrial ecosystem, Anhui may surpass Guangdong to become the top province in terms of automobile production in China this year.
