On April 20th, the “Abi Shengshi” ship carrying more than 2700 domestic cars, buses, and construction machinery set sail smoothly from Haitong Automobile Terminal in Taicang Port Area of Suzhou Port, heading towards Durban Port in South Africa. This is the first long-distance integrated shipping route in the Yangtze River Basin to directly sail to Africa, marking a new channel for Suzhou Port to serve China’s global automotive layout, and also providing a new container shipping path for hinterland enterprises to open up the African market.
