Russia abolishes cooperation agreements signed with Norway and three other countries in the Barents Sea

On April 19th, according to the news released on the Russian government website on the 18th, in accordance with the order signed by Russian Prime Minister Mishustin on the 16th, the Russian government has abolished the agreements signed with Norway, Sweden, and Finland regarding cooperation in the Barents Sea region. The Russian side has revoked the agreement signed in November 2007 with the aforementioned countries to establish the International Barents Secretariat, as well as the intergovernmental agreement signed in December 2008 to prevent and respond to emergencies in the Barents Sea region.
