On the evening of April 18th local time, Lebanese Hezbollah leader Naeem Kassem gave a televised speech on Al Manar television, introducing the national defense strategy and overall situation. Kassem emphasized that Israel is an “expansionist entity” and its ambitions are not limited to occupying Palestine, but also include controlling the entire Lebanon. Kassem stated that the primary issue in Lebanon at present is Israel’s occupation, and pointed out that expelling Israel is the top priority for the Lebanese people. He emphasized that Hezbollah has multiple options and will take action at the appropriate time to address Israel’s violations. Kasim pointed out that those who call for the disarmament of Hezbollah in Lebanon are serving Israel’s interests. “We will not let anyone disarm the resistance forces,” and Hezbollah will strike anyone who tries to disarm the resistance forces, just like fighting against Israel. Kassem called on Lebanese officials to reject pressure and orders from the United States and vowed to support any military decisions made by the government in response to Israeli aggression. At the end of his speech, Kassem expressed the hope that the talks between Iran and the United States can achieve positive results, and all outcomes are possible.
