On April 12th, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce announced that Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and foreign nationals can enjoy trade in subsidies for automobiles, home appliances, 3C digital, electric bicycles, home decoration, kitchen and bathroom products in Guangzhou with valid identification documents. The event will be held until December 31, 2025. The activity is subject to total amount control, and the subsidy eligibility will expire once it is used up. Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents and foreigners can participate in the activity if they meet the following basic conditions: holding valid certificates, including Hong Kong and Macao residents’ travel permits to the mainland, Taiwan residents’ travel permits to the mainland, Hong Kong and Macao residents’ residence cards, Taiwan residents’ residence cards, foreigners’ permanent residence identity cards (i.e. permanent residence cards, five-star cards); Mobile phone number in Chinese Mainland; Domestic bank account (only required for some activities) – The applicant must hold a type of UnionPay debit card and have a valid type of card account. The subsidy funds for car scrapping updates, car replacement updates, and electric bicycle trade in will be disbursed to bank cards.
