On April 8th, US President Trump stated on April 7th local time that he is “dissatisfied” with Russia’s continued attacks on Ukraine as the US is trying to facilitate an end to the conflict between the two countries. Trump said that US officials are meeting with Russia and Ukraine, stating that they are “approaching,” but he did not say whether this means approaching a ceasefire. Due to the “failure” in Russia Ukraine ceasefire and other matters, President Trump of the United States “complained” about Russia on March 30, threatening to use “secondary tariffs” on Russian oil exports. Regarding this, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Peskov said on March 31 that media reports about “Trump being very angry with Russian President Putin” are a paraphrasing interpretation rather than a “direct quote”.
