On April 7th, Italian Prime Minister Meloni stated on April 6th local time that the Italian government will respond to the issue of US tariffs with a “firm and pragmatic attitude”. Meloni said that Italy does not agree with the choice of the United States on the tariff issue. Italy is ready to use all necessary means, including negotiation and economic means, to support Italian enterprises and industrial sectors affected by the imposition of tariffs by the United States.
