On the evening of April 5th local time, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office stated in a statement that at the invitation of US President Trump, Netanyahu will depart for Washington on April 6th. The statement stated that Netanyahu will discuss a series of issues with Trump, including tariffs, pushing for the release of detainees, and Israel’s dispute with the International Criminal Court. The statement also stated that Netanyahu became the first foreign leader to meet with Trump after the United States announced tariffs on the world. According to The Times of Israel, Netanyahu and Trump will meet on April 7th.
