US Department of Defense: Timothy Howe to step down as Director of the National Security Agency

On April 5th, the US Department of Defense announced that Timothy Haugh will step down from his position as Director of the National Security Agency and Commander of Cyber Command. The National Security Agency of the United States is subordinate to the Department of Defense and is one of the most important intelligence agencies in the United States. The US Cyber Command is responsible for executing offensive and defensive cyber operations, while monitoring the cybersecurity of the Department of Defense.
