On April 1st, the Bolivarian Alliance of the Americas issued a declaration at its 25th Political Council meeting on March 31st, firmly opposing the large-scale expulsion of immigrants by the United States and the criminal conviction of immigrants. The statement reiterated the alliance’s commitment to maintaining peace in Latin America and the Caribbean, developing friendly and cooperative relations, peacefully resolving disputes, and strictly adhering to the commitment of non-interference in the internal affairs of any country on the basis of respecting international legal norms and the United Nations Charter. The declaration opposes and condemns the mass expulsion of immigrants and the criminal conviction of immigrants by the US government. During this process, immigrants were subjected to inhumane treatment. In addition, the statement also demands that the United States immediately lift the economic, financial, and commercial blockade against Cuba.
