On April 1st, according to the Public Relations Department of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy’s Second Sea Area, two foreign oil tankers were detained on suspicion of organizing fuel smuggling in the central waters of the Persian Gulf. It is reported that these two oil tankers carry 25 crew members and engage in organized fuel smuggling in the central waters of the Persian Gulf, transporting a total of over 3 million liters of diesel. These oil tankers were discovered in the second sea area of Bushehr province and are being escorted to the Bushehr oil terminal under the order of the judicial department to seize and unload smuggled fuel.
