On April 1st, Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski stated on March 31st local time that “we must set a clear timeline for ceasefire negotiations with Russia and cannot wait indefinitely for Putin to stop the war on his own. European countries and the European Union will continue to steadfastly support Ukraine. Sikorski pointed out that Europe has provided 60% of military aid to Ukraine. Our efforts will not stop until a just peace is achieved. Sikorsky pointed out in his comments that “the diplomatic concept of the United States attempting to bypass Europe and negotiate peace in Ukraine alone is fundamentally wrong. European representatives have unique value in helping the White House understand and constrain Russia’s global strategic thinking.” Sikorsky made the above comments while attending the EU-5 meeting in Spain.
