For the first time, China has discovered a billion ton oil field in deep-sea ultra deep clastic rocks at sea

On March 31st, CNOOC announced that China has discovered a 1.9-60 billion ton oil field in Huizhou during exploration in the eastern waters of the South China Sea. This is the first time that China has discovered a large-scale integrated oil field in deep-sea ultra deep clastic rocks, demonstrating the potential for oil and gas exploration in China’s offshore deep-sea ultra deep fields.
