Jiang Shangyi: Intel is already a ‘nobody’ and should merge with mature chip technology companies

On March 30th, former joint chief operating officer of TSMC, Jiang Shangyi, stated that Intel needs to adopt mature chip manufacturing processes to win because it lags far behind TSMC and cannot catch up. Jiang Shangyi added that although Intel was once the “king” of the chip industry, it is now a “nobody”. He believes that Intel should acquire a mature manufacturing process factory.
