On March 27th, Ukrainian President Zelensky stated in an interview with European media on March 26th that in the early hours of that day, the Russian military deployed hundreds of drones to carry out an attack. Although they attacked other civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, they did not attack Ukraine’s energy system, and Ukraine did not launch a counterattack against Russia’s energy facilities. Zelensky emphasized that due to Russia’s lack of credibility, it is impossible to determine whether this phenomenon is sustainable. Zelensky expects the United States to play a role in supervising the ceasefire mechanism and assuming guarantee responsibilities.
