On March 26th, according to court documents submitted by officials from the US Treasury Department, the department is planning large-scale layoffs in response to Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) push to reduce the size of federal government employees. The Ministry of Finance is finalizing the layoff plan and implementing the executive order signed by President Trump regarding the implementation of the DOGE initiative. According to court documents, these plans will be customized for various agencies under the Ministry of Finance, and in many cases, a large number of positions will be cut through layoffs.
