US officials: Next steps to discuss Black Sea ceasefire and Russia Ukraine frontline ceasefire

On March 24, Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Affairs Waltz said in an interview with the media on March 23, local time, that under the mediation of the United States, the Russian side began to contact with Russia-Ukraine conflict. Now, the US technical team has started practical cooperation with the Ukrainian side, and some Russian representatives have also appeared on the negotiation site for close range talks. Waltz added that after Trump’s call with Putin this week, both sides reached a ceasefire agreement regarding air infrastructure. Next, the United States will discuss a maritime ceasefire in the Black Sea so that both sides can resume food and fuel transportation, and restart trade in the Black Sea region. Next, the United States will begin discussing practical frontline ceasefire issues as well as broader, permanent peace plans.
