On March 24th, Shenzhen recently held a conference on building a new ecosystem for high-quality development of the electric bicycle industry with the theme of “Smart Safety in the City of Battery Swapping”. It was learned from the meeting that Shenzhen will prioritize promoting the battery swapping mode, and plans to add 20000 electric bicycle charging and swapping ports (spaces) this year to improve the supply capacity of charging and swapping facilities. At the meeting, the establishment ceremony of the Shenzhen “Battery Swap City” Special Committee and the launch ceremony of the battery swap project were also held, and three group standards, including the “General Technical Specification for Intelligent Battery Swap Vehicles for Electric Bicycles”, “Shared Battery Swap Facilities for Electric Bicycles Part 2”, and “Communication Protocol for Shared Battery Swap Facilities for Electric Bicycles Part 3”, were released for the first time, providing technical support for the construction of the “Battery Swap City”.
