Mark Gurman stated that Apple is developing a new version of the Apple Watch that includes a camera. Like future AirPods, this will help devices see the outside world and utilize artificial intelligence to provide relevant information. These models may still be at least a few generations away from being launched, but they are already on the roadmap.
