On March 24th, Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdul Ati held talks with visiting European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Karas. Both sides discussed the ceasefire in Gaza and the governance and security issues in the Gaza Strip. Abdulhati emphasized that Egypt opposes Israel’s resumption of military operations against civilians in Gaza, and returning to the ceasefire agreement is the only realistic solution. He also emphasized the need to quickly advance the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
