On March 22, local time, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zakharova stated that despite the recent proposal by the US not to attack energy infrastructure targets between Russia and Ukraine, and Ukraine’s official support for it, on March 19 and 21, the Ukrainian military still attacked an oil depot in Krasnodar Krai and the “Suja” natural gas metering station in Kursk Oblast. In addition, drones were intentionally used to attack residential buildings and social institutions. Russia believes that Ukraine’s actions once again prove its lack of negotiation ability and willingness to pursue peace. Zakharova pointed out that, as in 2022, the Ukrainian side is attempting to undermine the negotiation process again through provocation. Zakharova emphasized that if Ukraine continues to take such destructive actions, Russia reserves the right to take response measures and provide a reciprocal response.
