On March 23rd, according to multiple Arab media reports, on the evening of the 22nd local time, Israel launched airstrikes on multiple locations in southern, eastern, and northern Lebanon. The city of Tyre in southern Lebanon, the eastern Bekaa Valley, and the northern Hermel region were all attacked. The Israeli Defense Minister’s Office issued a statement stating that Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz instructed the Israeli Defense Forces to launch attacks on dozens of Hezbollah targets in Lebanon in response to rocket attacks in northern Israel earlier that day.
