The signing ceremony of the China Zambia Economic and Technological Cooperation Agreement was held

Lusaka, March 22 (Xinhua) — On March 21, Wang Sheng, Acting Charg é d’affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Zambia, and Musokotuwane, Finance Minister of Zambia, signed the China Zambia Economic and Technological Cooperation Agreement on behalf of the two governments in Lusaka.

Wang Sheng stated that the traditional friendship and pragmatic cooperation between China and Zambia have yielded fruitful results. Signing the agreement is an important achievement in implementing the Beijing summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation in 2024. It is hoped that both sides will make joint efforts to continuously enhance China Zambia cooperation in various fields, promote the high-quality development of China Zambia relations, and benefit the two peoples.

Musokotuwane expressed great gratitude to the Chinese government and people for their sincere assistance. In recent years, Chinese companies have implemented a number of steel, fertilizer, and infrastructure projects in Zambia with significant results. The agreement signed this time is a powerful manifestation of the deepening friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations more than 60 years ago.
