At around 10:00 on March 19th, a freight train bound for Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, departed from Fangshan District, Beijing, marking the official opening of the first Central Asia train in Beijing.
The reporter learned that the 90 standard containers of this train, carrying auto parts, medicines and other goods from Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, drove out from the special line of Liulihe business outlet of Beijing Railway Logistics Center of Beijing Railway Bureau of China Railway, and will leave the country via Khorgos Port. It is expected to run for about 14 days to reach Tashkent.

The launch of the Central Asia Express has added a new fulcrum for Beijing to join the high-quality co construction of the “the Belt and Road”. To this end, China Railway Beijing Bureau has implemented measures such as priority planning, priority air allocation, priority loading, priority hanging, and priority release to build a “fast track” for the operation of trains; Beijing Customs proactively meets the needs of enterprises and adopts convenient measures such as appointment clearance and early declaration to ensure the smooth operation of trains.
