On March 17th, scientists from institutions such as the University of Cambridge in the UK and Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands have developed a new type of chiral organic semiconductor. This semiconductor enables electrons to move in a spiral manner, greatly improving the performance of organic light-emitting diodes and bringing better display screens to televisions, smartphones, and other devices. In addition, there is hope to promote the development of next-generation computing technologies such as spintronics and quantum computing. The relevant paper was published in the journal Science on the 13th.
