On March 16th, it was learned today that the State Administration for Market Regulation has formulated a national food safety sampling plan for 2025 in accordance with the “four strictest” requirements, focusing on prominent issues such as excessive residues of agricultural and veterinary drugs, “two excesses and one non conformance” of food additives, and abuse of fruit and vegetable preservatives. The plan focuses on key places such as school canteens, online sales, chain fast food restaurants, agricultural product wholesale markets, as well as new formats such as live streaming and food delivery, and increases sampling efforts.
