The German Federal Party and Social Democratic Party have completed exploratory talks on forming a coalition government

On the afternoon of March 9th, local time, the chairman of the Christian Democratic Union and leader of the German Union Party, Mertz, stated that the first step towards forming a “Black Red Alliance” government (note: the representatives of the Union Party are black, and the representatives of the Social Democratic Party are red) has been taken. Nearly two weeks after the federal elections, negotiators from the Christian Democratic Union, Christian Social Union, and Social Democratic Party have completed exploratory talks and reached agreements on a series of issues. Mertz stated that the joint document should serve as the basis for alliance negotiations, which may begin next week. In exploratory talks, the Christian Democratic Union and the Social Democratic Party discussed their differences and commonalities.
