The conflict in western Syria has resulted in over 400 deaths and multiple checkpoints have been attacked

On March 8th, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, headquartered in the UK, announced that since the outbreak of the conflict in the western coastal provinces of Latakia and Tartus in Syria, the death toll has exceeded 400. Checkpoints in multiple regions of Syria have become targets of attacks. It is reported that in the next few hours, the forces of the Syrian Transitional Government will regain full control of the coastal areas of Syria.
