Currently, samples have been sent to multiple customers for verification, and the products continue to iterate. It is understood that the refractive index of silicon carbide is about 2.7, which is superior to traditional materials such as glass, and has the advantages of high temperature resistance and heat dissipation. According to sources from Sanan Optoelectronics, a 6-inch silicon carbide substrate can produce 2 pairs of AR glasses, while an 8-inch substrate corresponds to 3-4 pairs. Based on an estimated annual shipment of 1.5 million units in 2024, a 6-inch substrate corresponds to a demand of approximately 750000 pieces per year, with a market size of 1.08 billion yuan.
