On March 1st, SpaceX founder Elon Musk stated on Joe Logan’s podcast on Friday that there is hope to achieve rapid reuse of the Starship complex by 2026. Musk said that although some adjustments are still needed, it is now very close to being able to quickly reuse “overweight” boosters. For starship spacecraft, Musk believes that reusability is expected to be achieved this year, and the entire system (including spacecraft and boosters) will be rapidly reusable next year. This is also a fundamental breakthrough required for Earth’s life to become a multi planetary civilization. SpaceX previously announced that the eighth test flight of the Starship complex will take place as early as March 3rd local time.
